Best debit card services for an ecommerce website?

So my question is, is it possible to accept a debt card with a merchant account as well as credit cards? If so can anyone recommend some for me to have a look at?

Yes you can accept debit cards. Any payment gateway that accepts credit cards will also accept debit cards.
With the last few sites that I have set up, I have noticed a trend towards Google Checkout. So you may want to look into that. It is fairly simple to set up. And possibly Authorize.net
I am up to my ears in work trying to get this shopping cart up and running, and not only does he not understand, he doesn’t care. I’m going to have to set up new storefront software and new ecommerce shopping cart software and it doesn’t even register with him. He just doesn’t respect the amount of code writing I have to do, or my job in general. I am not a little woman! I want to support myself.
