The best merchant account for retail and web sales (eventually)?
moike711 asked:
I am currently in the process of purchasing a retail store which currently has around $35k’s worth of sales on a monthly basis. Should I just stay with the current merchant account providers or look to get someone else in. Any recommendations or feedback on other providers and companies out there would be much appreciated Should I keep the same merchant providers and equipment or shop around? Any recommendations on the multitude of account providers out there?

Depends, if they are providing a secure one, you can continue with it, It will help maintaing old customers or you can go for Paypal merchant a/c.
And if you are buying, you should make a few changes to it which makes store more attractive and attention provider, start new advs campaing to make people notice that you ae brining more to business.
Keeping things same can lead sometime the old customer as id they will get the same dissatisfaction as they had earlier, if they had so.
You can also make a list of old customers and contact them personaly thru mail or e-mail to tell there is change of owner.
You may add new items.
Main thing is, if the owner is new the store should appear new and better.
You may like these products, just for refernce:
For the merchant account, shop around. It never hurts. Ask the previous owner about the level of service they are getting. Make sure there is no cancellation fees.
For the equipment, it depends. Equipment can easily be reprogrammed to a new provider. So if you find one with better pricing and support, go for it!
For the most part, older equipment and newer equipment still do the same basic functions. So only upgrade the equipment if:
a) You want new features, such as the ability to take gift cards, smartcards, or contactless cards.
b) You just want to have newer looking equipment.
Otherwise just keep the old equipment.
